Its existence can be traced back 200 million years and it was commonly found in North America and Europe before the Ice Age.
It is one of the most popular and most frequently purchased herb today.
Ginkgo is associated with several health claims and uses, most of which focus on brain function and blood circulation. It is often used in patients with Alzheimer's disease and dementia.
Safety Concerns:
Safety in pregnancy is not known. Avoid Use
If unusual bleeding or bruising occurs, stop use immediately.
Avoid use 1 week prior to major surgery.
Adverse reactions:
Very few reactions reported. Mild cases of gastrointestinal upset, headaches, dizziness.
Rare cases of hematoma, haemorrhage and post operative bleeding reported.
